44-year-old My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was found dead in his Tennessee home

Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, according to a report. He was 44 years old.

Bryar, the popular rock band’s longest-serving drummer, was last seen alive on November 4, TMZ reported, citing sources. Authorities do not suspect foul play in Bryar’s death.

Bryar’s cause of death was not immediately known.

After the former musician’s badly decomposed body was discovered, animal control was called to the home to remove two dogs.

Bryar, a sound engineer with The Used, joined My Chemical Romance when the two bands were on tour in 2004, replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier.

After the release of their second album, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” he became the New Jersey rock band’s permanent drummer.

Bryar was part of the band’s success story with the release of the platinum concept album “The Black Parade” in 2006.

The album was certified quadruple platinum in the US and ended the year at number one on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums of 2006 and number 2 on the Billboard 200.

While filming the music video for “Famous Last Words,” Bryar and lead singer Gerard Way suffered injuries, with the drummer suffering third-degree burns and forcing the band to cancel a performance at the San Diego Street Scene Festival, Billboard reported.

Bryar’s subsequent medical problems led to several more shows having to be canceled.

Bryar split from My Chemical Romance in March 2010; six years after he replaced Pelissier.

“This was a painful decision for all of us and was not taken lightly,” the band said. “We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect all of you to do the same.”

After helping other bands on tour, Bryar turned to working in real estate, according to TMZ

On November 12, My Chemical Romance announced their ten-city “Long Live” tour, scheduled to begin in July 2025.

Bryar was not scheduled to appear at either show.

The Post has reached out to a representative for the band.
