Thanksgiving is finally here, which means people across the country are thinking about which Black Friday deals they want to take advantage of.

Whether you’re looking for a new winter coat or the perfect gift for someone special, shoppers in Stockton and San Joaquin County have plenty of options this year on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Here’s what you need to know about retailers including whether they’ll be open or closed on Thanksgiving this year and when they’ll open on Black Friday.

When do Black Friday 2024 sales start?

With the increasing preference for online shopping, retailers have started rolling out “Black Friday” deals earlier and extending their duration to give customers more time to make money. There are already discounts at a number of retailers, including Best Buy and Amazon, Walmart, Staples, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Target. However, some of the biggest deals are usually reserved for the day.

Black Friday at Weberstown and Sherwood malls in Stockton

Shopping hours at major malls will change on Thanksgiving weekend. Stores in Weberstown include Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, Lids, Journeys, among others.

One block from Weberstown, you can still shop at Sherwood Mall, even with modified Thanksgiving hours. Stores at this location include Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, Home Goods, Ulta Beauty and many more.

When does Black Friday start at Target?

Starting Sunday, November 3rd, Target will be offering weekly deals that will last throughout the holiday season. First week deals included up to 50% off floor care and headphones, and up to 30% off baby gear and select home accessories. Get 50% off toys including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when you purchase a copy.

Target will be closed on Thanksgiving. Stores will open at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, November 29, and stores will have extended hours from 7 a.m. to midnight from November 30 to December 23.
