Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb injury update, game status Week 13 vs. Giants

The Dallas Cowboys are right back in action just four days after ending their five-game losing streak. Like every year, the Cowboys will once again host the Thanksgiving Day game in the late afternoon, this time their opponent is the New York Giants. At 4-7, Dallas’ playoff hopes remain on life support, but facing the 2-9 Giants could pump some oxygen into the Cowboys’ collective lungs.

Short weeks are extremely hard on teams, as Dallas learned earlier in the year when these two teams met for the first time in Week 4. The Cowboys won, but left that game with a slew of serious injuries as Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and Brandin Cooks all missed significant action. This time, the short week puts recovery in question, and that includes All-Pro WR CeeDee Lamb.

Lamb was on the injury report this week with back and foot issues but appears ready to play in Week 13 against the Giants.

The fifth-year wideout currently leads the NFL with 77 receptions, gained 841 yards and scored four touchdowns. He and QB Cooper Rush, who is filling in for Dak Prescott who is out this year with a hamstring injury, have rekindled their connection for 2022 over the past two weeks.

Lamb has hauled in 18 passes for 160 yards, but the end zone continues to elude him, although they hope to make a change Thursday against New York.

In his career against the Giants, Lamb recorded 59 receptions for 820 yards and four touchdowns, with another on the ground, in just nine career games. The Cowboys only lost once to the Giants when Lamb played.
