NBC airs just seconds of Lindsey Stirling’s NFL halftime show

Lindsey Stirling rounded out the NFL’s Thanksgiving halftime entertainment with her performance during the Green Bay Packers vs. Miami Dolphins game.

Viewers watching the competition at home barely got to see the talented violinist and dancer in action.

Instead of broadcasting Stirling’s halftime show on Thursday night, NBC aired a segment about Dolphins fullback Alec Ingold. The package documented Ingold’s origins as a Green Bay native and adoptee before his homecoming.

After cutting to the commercial, NBC briefly showed a highlight of Stirling’s performance. The clip only lasted a few seconds before the station switched back to commercial in preparation for the second half.

NFL fans and entertainment lovers were naturally upset and confused that they couldn’t see the former “America’s Got Talent” contestant in action. Finally, both NBC competitors aired the halftime shows during their broadcasts’ Thanksgiving games, with CBS showing Shaboozey’s Detroit Lions concert in full while Fox did the same with Lainey Wilson’s Dallas Cowboys show.
