Donald Trump was mocked for sharing a parody of a Thanksgiving meal with himself as his main course

Donald Trump shared a parody clip on social media Thursday in which he appears to burst out of a Thanksgiving turkey being carved by President Joe Biden. It followed his divisive holiday message.

The president-elect then dances in front of Democratic leaders to The Village People’s “YMCA” hit (his unofficial campaign song) in the edited “Save the neck for me” scene from “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

The clip was viewed more than 34 million times on X alone, formerly Twitter.

And while Trump fans laughed at the footage, some critics questioned whether Trump realized he was the main course turkey in the video.

Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., received similarly mocking feedback when he shared a slightly different version of the clip in 2021.

I really feel like the US people: Trump is a clown that the vast majority of world leaders laugh at. I tempered my disappointment in his victory by thinking about the comedic value it provided, unfortunately this will likely be outweighed by the suffering it will undoubtedly cause in the US and worldwide.
