Josh Jacobs roasted dolphins in five words because he wasn’t prepared for cold weather

The running back poked fun at Miami’s apparent inability to play in cold weather after the Packers’ win on Thanksgiving.

The Miami Dolphins traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin, with about 3,500 pounds of cold-weather gear, from rubber scuba gear to hand warmers, to prepare for the 20-degree weather that awaited them at Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving – and also as a likely contender the narrative that the club cannot win in cold temperatures.

From Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs’ perspective, the Dolphins’ efforts to prepare for the cold weather didn’t work. Speaking to reporters in the locker room after the Packers’ 30-17 win over Miami, Jacobs – after being asked if Green Bay had gotten off to a bit of a slow start – took a dig at the Dolphins for their apparent struggles in the frigid temperatures on Thursday evening.

“Man, the (Miami) guys looked like they were cold out there, so we were ready to go,” Jacobs said.

There has been a lot of talk about the Dolphins’ inability to win in the cold weather with Tua Tagovailoa as the team’s starting quarterback. Ahead of the game, he had expressed his excitement at the opportunity to change the narrative. And while Tagovailoa played very well, throwing for 365 yards and two scores, the story certainly doesn’t go anywhere as he fell to 0-8 as the Dolphins’ starter in games where the temperature was listed at 45 degrees or colder is Pro Football Reference.

Luckily for Miami, they return home for a Week 14 game against the New York Jets on December 8th.
