NFL Week 13 Start or Seat: DeAndre Hopkins

DeAndre Hopkins had a tumultuous start to his life as Kansas City chief. In his first game, Hopkins recorded eight catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns. In the two games since then? He totaled 12 catches for 120 yards and a score.

Those numbers simply aren’t good enough to be a reliable starter, and that’s why Hopkins will have to sit out Week 13. To make matters worse, the Chiefs are playing the Raiders, who are solid against the pass and rank 12th in the league in that category.

Hopkins simply doesn’t have the current production, volume or matchup to make him a worthwhile starter in Week 13. If you’re in a pinch, he might be worth a try in the dark in your FLEX position.
