Bob Bryar, the former drummer for My Chemical Romance, has been found dead at the age of 44.

Bryar’s body was found at his home in Tennessee on Tuesday (November 26), two days before Thanksgiving.

Accordingly TMZLaw enforcement believes no crime was committed because his belongings, including musical equipment and weapons, remained untouched.

The musician’s body was described by the outlet as “severely decomposed.”

Animal control reportedly arrived at the home after the body was discovered and removed two dogs from the home.

Bryar was reportedly last seen alive on November 4th. His cause of death is still under investigation.

Byar was a member of the rock band from 2004 to 2010, replacing drummer Matt Pelisser shortly after the band released their album in 2004 Cheers to Sweet Revenge.

He played drums on all of My Chemical Romance’s biggest hits, including 2006’s “Welcome to the Black Parade.”

The Chicago-born drummer left the group in 2010 before the release of Danger Days: The real lives of the fabulous spoilsportsto which he contributed.

At the time, My Chemical Romance released a statement calling Bryar’s decision “painful.”

“Four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. “This was a painful decision for all of us and was not taken lightly,” the statement said.

“We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect all of you to do the same.”

In addition to Bryar, My Chemical Romance consisted of Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Mikey Way.

After working with other bands over the years, Bryar announced his retirement from the music industry in 2014. He began a career in real estate and worked for a number of dog rescue organizations and animal shelters.

In 2023, Bryar announced on Twitter that he had severe mental health issues.

Fans took to social media to pay tribute to the late musician, remembering his immense skill and genre-defining stint on My Chemical Romance.
