Bears fans disgusted by Caleb Williams during Lions game

The Detroit Lions hosted No. 1 pick Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears in an NFC North rivalry game on Thanksgiving Day. With Detroit prepared for a trip to the Super Bowl in New Orleans this year, fans were excited to see what this game had to offer.

The Lions have looked like a Super Bowl contender for most of this season, and their Thanksgiving Day game against the Bears was no different. Normally it’s the Lions’ offense that does the heavy lifting, but against the Bears it was their stout defense that took the lead in the first half.

Detroit held the Bears’ top draft pick, Caleb Williams, to just 13 first-half passing yards and a quarterback rating of 45.8. With the Bears already entering their Thanksgiving matchup on a five-game losing streak, fans were disgusted by Williams’ first-half performance.

“Caleb Williams could end up being a franchise quarterback and I know the Bears are a mess, but he is incredibly inaccurate and looks more like a bust every day,” said one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Caleb Williams has 13 yards bro…and Swift has 9…the game is almost over TF YALL DOINN,” another Dan added.

Ben Johnson should be coveted in the coaching cycle

The Lions were one of the best teams in the NFL this season. But their offense was particularly dominant. They have scored 40 or more points in three of their last five games and have scored at least 20 points in 10 of their 11 games.

Because of their dominance this season, Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is expected to be one of the top targets in this year’s coaching cycle.

“Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is once again seen as a top coach throughout the league this cycle. He has coordinated an offense that has ranked in the top five in points and yards each of the last three seasons, and at the moment “The Lions have the highest-scoring offense in all of football,” CBS Sports writes.

Johnson has been conducting interviews for the past two years including six interviews last year but decided both times to return to Detroit. He could do the same this winter as well, as sources have indicated that Johnson won’t easily jump at any offer. When he takes a plunge, he wants to be selective and puts the stability of the organization over a paycheck.
