Ben Affleck befriends ex Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while J Lo goes through a divorce

Ben Affleck looked happy on Thanksgiving with a Jennifer who isn’t his recent ex, Jennifer Lopez.

The 52-year-old Oscar winner was spotted socializing with his first ex-wife Jennifer Garner while volunteering at Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.

The exes, who have three children together: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12, reunited to feed 2,000 homeless people at the nonprofit’s annual Thanksgiving brunch.

Affleck appeared comfortable with Garner, 52, in photos obtained by The Post.

Despite his ongoing divorce from J Lo, The Accountant actor was photographed smiling with his former lover – and even caught whispering in her ear.

The former couple wore matching aprons as they greeted their fellow volunteers.

Affleck and Garner’s children met with their parents for the occasion.

This is Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since Lopez filed for divorce in August on the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

J Lo also stepped out this holiday season after the breakup.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer was spotted arriving alone to a pre-Thanksgiving brunch with girlfriends on Wednesday.

As for Affleck, sources said he would be taking a break from filming to spend the holidays with his children, which in turn meant he would be spending more time with Garner.

“He is very happy with life. He enjoys the work. He will be spending Thanksgiving with his kids,” an insider told People this week.

Affleck and Garner married in 2005 after his original split from Lopez.

The couple announced their separation in June 2015 after ten years of marriage, but did not officially file for divorce until April 2017.

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance in April 2021, 18 years after postponing their wedding in 2003.

“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they said in a joint statement at the time.

“When we seriously considered hiring three different ‘lures’ in three different locations, we realized something was wrong.”

They added: “We felt that what should have been a joyful and holy day could be ruined for us, our families and our friends.”

The duo ended their first relationship in early 2004.

Lopez listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024 in her divorce documents.

According to TMZ, the couple reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement and are still arguing over several issues before officially signing their divorce.
