Ben Affleck gets close to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving during his divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck was in a good mood on Thanksgiving and spent time with his first ex-wife Jennifer Garner rather than his most recent ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.

The 52-year-old actor enjoyed the vacation with Garner, 52, as they volunteered together at the Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles. The couple, who have three children – Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 – came together to serve Thanksgiving brunch to 2,000 homeless people at the nonprofit’s annual event.

Affleck appeared relaxed around Garner and was even seen whispering in her ear in photos obtained by The Post. The ex-couple wore matching aprons while interacting with other volunteers.

Affleck and Garner’s children also attended the charity event with their parents.

This was Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since Lopez filed for divorce in August, on the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez was also spotted during the holiday season after the breakup. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer attended a pre-Thanksgiving brunch with her friends on Wednesday and performed as a solo artist.

Sources revealed that Affleck took a break from his filming schedule to spend Thanksgiving with his children, which also meant reconnecting with Garner.

“He is very happy with life. He enjoys the work. “He’s going to spend Thanksgiving with his kids,” an insider told People this week.

Affleck and Garner married in 2005 after he split from Lopez. They separated in June 2015 after ten years of marriage, but their divorce was not finalized until April 2017.

Affleck and Lopez rekindled their relationship in April 2021, nearly two decades after postponing their original 2003 wedding.

“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they said in a joint statement at the time.

“When we seriously considered hiring three different ‘lures’ in three different locations, we realized something was wrong.”

They added: “We felt that what should have been a joyful and holy day could be ruined for us, our families and our friends.”
