Crash of the Jacksonville Swifties Target for Black Friday Release of Taylor Swift Book and Album

It wasn’t long before “Taylor Swift | “The Eras Tour Book” and album sold out on Black Friday at Target in St. Johns Town Center. It took less than 15 minutes.

Jacksonville Swifties did what Swifties do and turned out to be a megastar, lining up dark and early ahead of the Black Friday release sold exclusively at Target stores.

The store opened at 6 a.m. and Tory Navarro of Jacksonville and her friends arrived at 4 a.m. to line up for their copy. “I’m definitely here to get the finale of the Taylor Swift anthology and the book for the era tour,” Navarro said as she waited in line that stretched the entire sidewalk in front of the store . “I think everyone here has a good chance of getting one.

A friend of Navarro said she came to buy four copies and claim a few copies for her friends.

Frank and Laura Bruce waited in line for hours to buy a copy for their 14-year-old daughter. “It’s the hottest thing, so here we are,” Laura Bruce said. The couple is used to doing extraordinary Swifty things for their daughter.

They traveled to Amsterdam in the summer so that the teenager could see the artist’s performance. “We decided it was cheaper than paying Miami prices,” Laura Bruce said.

“We turned it into a vacation,” her husband added.

In addition to “The Eras Tour Book,” Target also carried the vinyl and CD versions of “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.” After opening at 6 a.m., the St. Johns Town Center Target was sold out by 6:10 a.m., one shopper said.

The 256-page book costs $39.99 and includes behind-the-scenes photos from the “Eras Tour” as well as personal reflections from the megastar.
