Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants inactive: Trevon Diggs, Zack Martin out

It’s Thanksgiving and the Cowboys are less than two hours away from starting their annual Turkey Day game. This time they’re hoping for their first home win of the year against the Giants. Both teams are looking pretty good heading into a short week, and now we have a clearer picture of who will be playing.

Two big names are Jake Ferguson and Zack Martin, both of whom also missed last week. Ferguson is still battling a concussion he suffered against the Texans, while Martin has both ankle and shoulder injuries. Of note, Tyler Smith is back in action this week after missing last week’s game.

Trevon Diggs was considered questionable today after missing last week with a knee injury, but after some testing before the game he will not be fit. This would have been the first time this year that we saw Diggs playing alongside DaRon Bland and Jourdan Lewis at the same time, but the Cowboys will have to wait at least another week.

Other Cowboys on the inactive list include Marshawn Kneeland, Deuce Vaughn, Ryan Flournoy and Andrew Booth. The Cowboys had named Booth along with fellow cornerback Kemon Hall from the practice squad for this game, but Booth will be inactive.

For the Giants, Tommy DeVito is their biggest inactive. The second-year quarterback made his first start of the year last Sunday after the Giants cut Daniel Jones, but he left with an injury and won’t play today. This gives Drew Lock his first start with the Seahawks since December of last year, although DeVito appears to be the Giants’ third emergency quarterback.
