The win gave the Cowboys real energy and spirit that was actually missing for much of the game. Things reached such a positive point that Jerry Jones even broached the idea of a possible extension for Mike McCarthy in a radio interview this week.

Injury updates

On Wednesday, it was reported that Brandin Cooks had been activated from injured reserve. He will make his full comeback today against New York. On the other side of that coin, both Caelen Carson and Asim Richards were placed on injured reserve.

NFL news relevant to the Cowboys

Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones eventually signed with the Minnesota Vikings. That being said, the Cowboys are obviously one of the first games of Week 13, so the dominoes haven’t really fallen yet.

Next up are the Cowboys

It’s been a tough time for the Cowboys as they’ve gone from a Monday night game against Houston to a road game at Washington to this Thanksgiving Day matchup against New York. Luckily, no pun intended, they will take a little break before coming back into our lives Monday Night Football as the final game of Week 14 when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.
