Dolphins’ Odell Beckham Jr. wears custom Kyrie Irving cleats

The Miami Dolphins defeated the New England Patriots 34-15 yesterday as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa passed for over 300 yards through the air and scored four touchdowns. It was an electrifying performance for Dolphins fans, and veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. got the Miami crowd pumped up during pregame warmups. He also gave a small nod to his girlfriend Kyrie Irving by wearing a custom pair of his sneakers in the shape of his cleats.

While Odell Beckham Jr. rocked with Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving during his time at Nike, Irving has since moved on to sponsor ANTA, where he launched several signature sneakers and a lifestyle brand. Kyrie also serves as Creative Director of ANTA.

In an unprecedented move, Odell Beckham Jr. became the first NFL player to wear a customized version of Irving’s signature ANTA KAI 1.

The shoes were made by prolific sneaker customizer The Shoe Surgeon, who supplies some of the biggest names in all of sports. The boots are made from the upper of the ANTA KAI 1 and come in teal and pink colors to evoke the spirit of Miami Vice. The shoes are accented with black cleats and matching underlying mesh, creating a sleek and eye-catching colorway that looks great on turf.

Beckham Jr. failed to hit any of his three goals in the win, but he certainly had the best boot performance of anyone on the field. Could we see potential for more collaborations between Kyrie Irving and Odell Beckham Jr. in the future?
