Georgia wins overtime thriller against Georgia Tech

After trailing 17-0 at halftime, Georgia has officially escaped the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets. The two teams engaged in a two-point conversion showdown and scored a total of eight overtimes. Georgia got the final answer. Georgia also saved its 30-game home winning streak after its big comeback.

Here are the sights and sounds of the insane thriller.

Georgia will face the winner of Texas vs. Texas A&M in the SEC Championship game next Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Luckily for Georgia, they have eight days off before their next game after putting up eight atrocious overtimes against Tech. Now they want to solidify their College Football Playoff hopes. According to the College Football Playoff Calculator, Georgia has a 98 percent chance of making the CFP, even with a possible loss in the SEC Championship. A win in Atlanta would obviously secure a spot in the top four — likely No. 2 overall — and a first-round bye in the playoffs.

Georgia must first assemble its defense before the playoffs. They fought against the run for whole weeks.
