Josh Allen Gets Engaged to Hailee Steinfeld: See how the Buffalo Bills quarterback proposed to the actress and singer

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has become engaged to actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld, the couple announced Friday.

Allen revealed he proposed to Steinfeld last week by getting down on one knee in front of a floral arch full of pink and red roses. One photo shows them kissing after apparently saying “yes” to his proposal outdoors, near a body of water with a path of floating candles leading to the romantic spot.

“11/22/24,” they wrote in a shared Instagram post with “infinity” emojis, confirming their engagement.

“Congratulations bro!!!” commented actor Chad Michael Murray, a lifelong Bills fan who grew up near Buffalo.

“Congratulations to @JoshAllenQB and @HaileeSteinfeld on their commitment,” the Bills’ official X (formerly Twitter) account added.

A source told People magazine that their families were also thrilled: “They were head over heels from the start,” an insider said. “Their families are thrilled.”

As a singer, Steinfeld has released two albums and appeared in some of her film roles such as “Begin Again.” Her music career includes pop hits “Starving” (featuring Gray and Zedd) and “Let Me Go” (featuring Alesso and Florida Georgia Line) – both of which have more than 1 billion streams on Spotify – and songs like “Most Girls.” “Capital Letters” (with BloodPop), “Love Myself”, “Coast” (feat. Anderson .Paak) and “SunKissing”. (Steinfeld also appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video and was part of the superstar’s “squad” in 2015.)

Allen’s relationship with Steinfeld made headlines in March when a viral video showed him awkwardly getting out of a car in Paris, France and running away from his famous girlfriend. Allen later revealed at dinner that his pants were ripped and laughed at the wardrobe malfunction: “I didn’t mean to stick my cheeks out… I love Paris.”

The celebrity couple was first spotted on multiple dates in New York City in May 2023. Since then, she has appeared at several Buffalo Bills games, including at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park and in London, and went shopping with Allen’s mother at a local clothing store in Buffalo.

It will be the first marriage for Allen and Steinfeld. Allen previously dated Brittany Williams, a former Fresno State cheerleader who grew up in the same town as Allen, and Steinfeld previously dated One Direction singer Niall Horan.

Allen has largely tried to keep the relationship private and criticized paparazzi who took photos of him kissing Steinfeld during a vacation in Mexico on July 4 last year.

“The fact that anyone cares still drives me crazy,” Allen said on the “Pardon My Take” podcast in August 2023. “I just had this gross feeling… insecurity.” No privacy. (I thought) ‘What’s wrong with people?’”

Allen and the Bills next play the San Francisco 49ers on “Sunday Night Football” at Highmark Stadium. The game starts on Sunday, December 1st at 8:20 p.m
