Kansas City Chiefs coach shares photo of Taylor Swift’s homemade Pop-Tarts

Taylor Swift is celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest win with a round of her famous homemade Pop-Tarts!

On Tuesday, November 26, Chiefs defensive line coach David Merritt Sr. posted a photo of himself receiving homemade Pop Tarts from Swift, 34, after her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, played with the team on November 24 against the Carolina Panthers won.

“Taylor Swift baked Pop-Tarts for me after the homemade victory!” The NFL coach wrote alongside the snapshot on X (formerly Twitter).

In the photo, a box of Swift’s baked cupcakes decorated with white icing and sprinkles, including a half-eaten one, was seen on a desk. At the top of the box was a handwritten message from Swift that read, “VICTORY POP TARTS!! Congratulations! I love Taylor.”

Meritt then shared that his wife Yolanda told him that he wasn’t the only one who got Swift’s sweet treats this season – which made him feel like he wasn’t special.

“Yolonda Merritt said, ‘She’s been doing it for different people all season, Dave’ 🤦🏽‍♂️ I thought I was SPECIAL 🤦🏽‍♂️😝🤣,” he wrote, adding of Swift, “A cute one though young woman!”

The coach also posted a photo of the singer hugging his wife as they posed together during an NFL game. Machine Gun Kelly could also be seen in the background of the snapshot.

Swift has a great reputation when it comes to her homemade Pop-Tarts.

Over the past few months, the “Fortnight” singer, who has been open about her love of baking, has had those lucky enough to try her popular cupcakes raving about the baked treats, including Channing Tatum and various NFL team members .

In December 2023, former NFL player Bernie Kosar revealed that Swift treated her 35-year-old boyfriend Kelce to her homemade cinnamon rolls. “We have a pregame meal and Taylor is so nice that she comes in by herself and she’s so cool, she brings her homemade cinnamon rolls made for Travis for a pregame meal,” he said on Audacy’s AM 560 Sports WQAM.

Later in February, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said during an interview on Pro Football Talk Live that the pop singer baked some pastries for the team.

“Behind the scenes she has to fit in – she didn’t even know she was doing that, I don’t think – she likes to cook, so she made these homemade Pop-Tarts for the offensive linemen,” Reid said.

In an Instagram post shared on March 1, Pop-Tarts urged Swift to “post the recipe” while recreating the singer’s Eras tour Poster with a Photoshopped Pop-Tart in the middle.
