Kate (and Lila) Moss took their new Zara dresses out for a night out in London

A year ago Kate Moss never applied for a job – why should she? – until longtime friend and co-conspirator Katy England persuaded the supervisor to offer her archive as inspiration for a Zara collection. A pretty professional PDF – with thanks to England’s son Wolf – later the two got the order.

Fast forward to November 27th, and after a fateful morning when she raided Moss’s designated wardrobe in her mythical storeroom, and a summer spent darting to and from Zara’s Spanish headquarters, she arrived on a London Party at Oswald’s brings to light the selection of typical Kate pieces.

A word about the guest list: Wow. With Moss’ Rolodex in hand, Inditex chairwoman Marta Ortega Pérez received positive feedback from Phoebe Philo and Max Wigram, Rose Ferguson and Jake Chapman, Edward Enninful and Alec Maxwell, Courtney Love, Sadie Frost, Chioma Nnadi, Bella Freud and Tim Walker in contrast to. The fashion The Crime England cover star’s partner attended with her husband Bobby Gillespie and sons Wolf and Lux, who sat at the “kids’ table” with Zara lookbook models Ch’lita Collins and Ella Richards. Like her mother, Lila Moss dazzled in black beaded jewelry that had a flapper vibe — family friend Kim Jones declared it a trend before she said goodbye to Fendi — but still looked timeless for the 2024 party season.

For an industry figurehead who believes the best parties are always at home – “Everyone dresses up, it shouldn’t be like that” – it was clear that Kate had trained her inner circle well for her big night. Jess Morris, Corra Corré, Charlotte Tilbury, Lucie de la Falaise and Tish Weinstock all followed Moss’ tried-and-true party advice: “Black, always black.” And despite the model’s protestations that she never likes being dressed as Since she is photographed herself and finds it much easier to embody a character in front of the lens, she looked every bit the glamorous hostess.
