Las Vegas heavy metal festival canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Sick New World heavy metal festival in Las Vegas has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, festival organizers announced.

“It is with great disappointment that we announce that Sick New World will no longer be taking place in Las Vegas on April 12, 2025,” it said in a statement on its website.

The festival, scheduled for next spring, featured many highly anticipated acts including Metallica, Evanescence and Queens of the Stone Age.

A reunion gig was planned for Acid Bath, which would take place together again for the first time since 1997. Linkin Park was also scheduled to debut in the Las Vegas Valley with new lead singer Emily Armstrong.

Organizers added that they would like to thank fans who planned to attend and “stay tuned” for more information.
