Lindsay Lohan’s transformation explained by cosmetic surgery experts

What’s her little secret?

Lindsay Lohan dressed to impress on her recent press tour for her new Netflix holiday romantic comedy Our Little Secret, but it’s not just her clothes that are catching the public’s attention.

The popular movie star, who has experienced many ups and downs over the years, seems to have undergone both an internal and external transformation.

Although Lohan, 38, claims she fights aging with a simple skincare routine, Page Six brought together plastic surgery experts — none of whom have treated the “Mean Girls” star — to see her impressive glow.

Pamela Weinberger, founder of Jeune Aesthetics, tells us that Lohan has likely undergone a mix of injections such as Botox, a brow lift, lip and cheek fillers, as well as surgical procedures such as an upper blepharoplasty, an endoscopic facelift and submental liposuction to remove fat The neck and chin are removed from the body.

“Some results can be achieved with experienced injectors, but in transformations, these remarkable, surgical improvements seem likely,” says the Miami-based medical injector.

“The secret here, however, is balance: experienced injectors and surgeons work together to achieve a ‘natural but better’ look.”

Weinberger adds: “The best work should look invisible. The magic is in how advanced technology and artistry have become.”

The renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Ramtin Kassir agrees that Lohan has likely gone under the knife, citing upper and lower blepharoplasty and deep plane face and neck lifts as possible procedures she has had.

However, the New York-based rhinoplasty expert doesn’t believe the “Freaky Friday” star has had a nose job and, in fact, believes the star may have reversed some of the bad procedures she’s had in the past.

“I think she dissolved everything she had before,” says Kassir, adding that the weight loss likely also contributed to Lohan’s changed appearance.

“Her face is definitely not what we call ‘pillow-shaped’ or full-bodied. This could be because she has either lost weight, the filler has dissolved or it was washed out during surgery,” he explains.

Dr. Ari Hoschander of KH Plastic Surgery in New York City agrees: “The main reason I think she looks better is that she’s lost weight.”

“She hasn’t had any kind of facelift. I think she just lost a bit of weight,” says the plastic surgeon.

Weinberger shares that fans who want to achieve a youthful appearance like Lohan should follow the “holy trinity” of glow-ups: clean diet, vitamins and probably some peptides and NAD.

“Start with a healthy lifestyle,” she says, before joking that it’s “yes, boring,” but “essential.”

All of our experts also point out that Lohan’s face looks much smoother, which was likely achieved through skin treatments like laser resurfacing, chemical peels, and microneedling.

Hoschander tells us, “She’s only had a few laser treatments at most for the color and texture of her facial skin – maybe a little filler, but certainly not much.”

There’s also a lot of speculation on social media about whether the Parent Trap star has had a facelift.

Although most of our experts don’t believe Lohan has had one yet, Dr. Samuel Lin, why a patient under 40 is not necessarily excluded as a candidate.

“When it comes to facelifts, anatomy is more important than age. There is no specific “right” age for the procedure as it depends on individual anatomy and genetics,” says the board-certified plastic surgeon.

“While some candidates may be ready for a facelift in their late 40s, others may not experience sufficient skin laxity until they are 50 or later.”

Lin further explains that factors such as “age, genetics and lifestyle create a range of timelines for when a facelift may be beneficial.”

He concludes: “Ultimately, it’s your anatomy that matters, not your age.”
