Matt Eberflus’ reasoning for challenging the Bears shows he’s not fit to be a HC

Matt Eberflus has shown time and time again that he is incapable of serving as the Chicago Bears’ head coach, which he will likely do over the last six games, as this organization has never fired a head coach mid-season – even if he did it would be deserved.

Eberflus was asked about his unsuccessful foul on a 69-yard pass from Sam Darnold to Jordan Addison on the first play of the second half, which was a question about whether Addison had gone out of bounds. Most concerning, however, is Eberflus’ explanation for why he threw the challenge flag, and it shows once again why he shouldn’t be the Bears’ head coach.

“First of all, I threw the challenge flag because it was explosive,” Eberflus said.
