My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was found dead in his home at the age of 44

Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar was found dead at the age of 44 in his Tennessee home, just two days before Thanksgiving.

At this time, his cause of death has not been released and, according to TMZ, it is unknown who found him.

According to the outlet, his body was “severely decomposed” when discovered and animal control came to the house to take his two dogs.

Authorities do not believe there was any “foul play” because “all of his weapons and musical equipment in the house remained untouched.”

Bryar was last seen alive on November 4th.

He was the group’s longest-serving and last official drummer, having served as the group’s drummer from 2004 to 2010.

He replaced former drummer Matt Pelissier following the release of the band’s second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004).

Bryar performed and recorded music on all of the group’s subsequent releases until his departure.

On March 3, 2010, guitarist Frank Lero announced that Bryar had left the band.

“Four weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us and was not taken lightly. We wish him good luck in his future endeavors and expect all of you to do the same,” he wrote in a statement posted on the official website.

He most recently reunited with the group in 2013 to record their album Conventional Weapons.

After retiring from the music scene in 2014, he became a real estate agent and an active advocate for various dog rescues and sanctuaries.

The star was born in Chicago, Illinois and began playing drums at a young age.

He performed in marching and jazz bands throughout high school before studying sound engineering at the University of Florida.

In 2015, Bryar tweeted that after being “kicked out of MyChem” he “became the most depressed, angry and suicidal person ever.”

In a later, since-deleted tweet, he wrote: “Now I’m taking so many pills I’m feeling a bit better, although it still bothers me every day.” “In a recent conversation I was told I won’t be coming back .”

Although My Chemical Romance’s tour was scheduled for 2025, Bryar’s reunion with the band was not planned.

The current lineup of My Chemical Romance consists of lead singer Gerard Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, rhythm guitarist Frank Iero and bassist Mikey Way.
