Nebraska football wants to bring the Heroes Trophy back to Lincoln. The Huskers (6-5, 3-5 Big Ten) will face the Hawkeyes (7-4, 5-3) in the annual Black Friday rivalry game at Kinnick Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on NBC.NU. Coach Matt Rhule is seeking his first win against the Hawkeyes in a closely contested series – the last six meetings between the programs have been decided by seven points or fewer. Dylan Raiola arrived at Kinnick and prepared for the match. The Huskers tried to meet in the middle of the field, but police kept them away from the Hawkeye logo. John Hohl put Nebraska on the board with a field goal. The Huskers led 3-0 with 7:30 left in the first quarter. Fans, coaches, players and everyone in between took part in the traditional wave and greeted the children at the children’s hospital across the street. Dante Dowdell rushed up the middle for a one-yard touchdown, which was quickly followed by a good field goal from Hohl, giving Nebraska a 10-0 lead just before halftime. Iowa got on the board with a field goal in the third. Jackson Stratton passed 72 yards to Kaleb Johnson, who took it into the end zone.
