Wrath of Rakshasa is set to premiere in 2025, the park’s parent company, Six Flags Entertainment Company, announced in August. Great America shared photos of the new coaster parts on social media this week.

Most of the footers for Wrath of Rakshasa have been cast and built into the ground, so the track could soon go vertical.

The steepest in the world

Wrath of Rakshasa, which Six Flags says will have the “steepest drop in the world with the most inversions on a dive coaster,” will stand 180 feet tall. It will feature a “cliffhanger handle” that will keep riders suspended as they plummet down a 96-degree vertical drop before plummeting 171 feet.
