Dartmouth basketball has been in a terrible stretch for a long time. They haven’t had a winning season since 1998-99, when they finished 14-12. Their current coach, David McLaughlin, has been with the team since 2016 and has compiled a record of 64-134. Last year, Dartmouth finished 6-21 overall and 2-12 in the Ivy League.

This year, the Big Green started with 2-0 wins over Vermont State-Lyndon and Sacred Heart before losing their final three games to Albany, BU and Marist. They score 79 points per game and allow 72.6.

McLaughlin’s squad is led in scoring by Cade Haskins, a 6-foot-2 senior forward who spent his entire college career at Dartmouth. After averaging just 2.4 minutes per game last year, Haskins is now playing more than 21 minutes per game and has averaged 14.6 points despite starting just one game. He shoots 45% from the field and a team-best 41.9% from three while also contributing 2.2 shots and 1 assist per game.

Ryan Cornish, a 6-foot-10 senior guard, is second on the team in scoring with 12.8 points and has 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game. True freshman guard Connor Amundsen and junior forward Jackson Munro rank third and fourth on the team with 10.6 and 9.4 points, respectively. Munro is also tied for the team lead with senior Ryan Mythril with 6 rebounds.

Dartmouth is ranked #346 by KenPom and that should really be a win for Earl Grant and his team.
