Raiders News: Brock Bowers commits to OROY

The Las Vegas Raiders lost their eighth straight game on Black Friday. After pushing the Kansas City Chiefs to the limit, they lost 19-17 on an early snap, which allowed the Chiefs to pull ahead late.

While the team continues to have one of the worst records in the league, one player continues to stand out. Brock Bowers was expected to be a special player at Georgia, but he already made it clear that he could be the best tight end in football.

Bowers put on a show against the Chiefs, finishing the game with ten receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown. He made a spectacular one-handed catch and capped it off with a touchdown late in the third period and an explosive play. After Davante Adams was traded, he became the Raiders’ main target.

Looking at his stats throughout the season, he has a chance to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Bowers has 84 catches, 884 yards and four touchdowns this season. He is at 119 receptions per year, which would be a record for tight ends.

If the Raiders draft a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, they will have a pass catcher ready. Tom Telesco was questioned about his selection of Bowers, but it has stood the test of time.
