On November 27, 2024, SunFed Produce, LLC. has recalled all sizes of whole fresh American cucumbers packaged in retail or foodservice bulk cardboard containers grown by Agrotato, SA de CV in Sonora, Mexico.

  • Labeled with the “SunFed” label or in an ordinary white box or black plastic crate with a sticker showing the name of the producer in question, “Agrotato, SA de CV”
  • Sold between October 12, 2024 and November 26, 2024
  • Cucumbers may have a sticker that says “SunFed Mexico.”

What you should do

Do not eat recalled cucumbers.

  • Throw them away or return them to where you bought them.
  • Look for a sticker that says “SunFed Mexico” as a place where cucumbers were grown.
  • If you purchased whole fresh American cucumbers between October 12th and November 26th and don’t know where they came from, throw them away.

Wash items and surfaces that may have come into contact with the recalled cucumbers.

  • Use hot soapy water or a dishwasher.

Call your doctor if you experience any of these serious symptoms Salmonella Symptoms:

  • Diarrhea and fever over 38°C
  • Diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving
  • Vomiting so much that you can’t keep your fluids down
  • Signs of dehydration, such as:
  • Feeling dizzy when standing up

What companies should do

  • Do not sell or serve recalled pickles grown by Agrotato, SA de CV in Sonora, Mexico, including recalled cucumbers from SunFed Produce, LLC.
  • Wash and disinfect items and surfaces who may have come into contact with recalled cucumbers.
  • If possible, notify customers who purchased recalled cucumbers.

Symptoms of Salmonella
