UofL pushes past West Virginia in Battle 4 Atlantis

Louisville is headed to the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game after defeating West Virginia in overtime. The Cardinals defeated the Mountaineers 79-70. It was a battle between UofL and West Virginia, with the Mountaineers holding a four-point lead at halftime, 28-24. But the Cardinals had more success on offense in the second half when Chucky Hepburn forced the game into overtime with a missed free throw. In overtime, Louisville really dominated. Lost by 17 points while holding West Virginia to just eight points. Hepburn was the Cardinal’s key figure on offense, scoring a career-high 32 points. Kasean Pryor added 13, while Reyne Smith came off the bench and scored 15 points. Louisville improves to 5-1 on the season and plays in the Battle 4 Atlantis final on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The Cardinals will play the winner of Oklahoma and No. 23Arizona.
