Vanderpump Rules Reboots, Bravo Cuts Entire Cast for Season 12

It’s a new beginning for Vanderpump Rules.

On Tuesday, November 26, Bravo announced VPR has been renewed for season 12 – but the upcoming season will look different than in years past. According to the press release, a new cast will take over Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood ventures as servers, hosts and bartenders at SUR and TomTom.

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary series filled with laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump, 64, said in the press release. “I can’t thank those who shared their lives enough. How I love you all. In the catering industry, one layer always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation Vanderpump Rules.”

Alex Baskin, executive producer of the series’ production company, 32 Flavors, wrote: “What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all again.” With great appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, Can “We can’t wait for audiences to see a dynamic new group of colleagues and friends making their way through life together.”

It’s unclear when the new cast or premiere date will be revealed, but PEOPLE has already learned that VPR Stars Lala Kent, Scheana Shay and Tom Schwartz will appear in The valley, It’s about Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor and Kristen Doute, among others, who got their start VPR.

VPR first premiered on Bravo in 2013, starring Doute, Shay, Taylor, Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Stassi Schroeder, Peter Madrigal, Mike Shay, Laura-Leigh, Frank Herlihy and Ariana Madix. Cast members have come and gone over the years, with others such as Cartwright, Kent and Rachel Leviss starring in the series.

Fans began speculating that the show had been canceled because filming for Season 12 was delayed over the summer, but PEOPLE confirmed that Bravo still planned to bring the series back at the time.

Seasons 10 and 11 also followed a changed filming schedule after news broke that cast members Leviss and Sandoval were having an affair, while Sandoval was in a decades-long relationship with Madix.

On May 1, Andy Cohen explained on SiriusXM that breaks in the Bravo world were not uncommon when a major event occurred Andy Cohen Live in May that “we’ve been doing this with him the whole time housewives.”

“We would say, ‘You know what? Let’s put the cameras away for four or five months and then go back to them.’ And they will have lived their lives differently,” Cohen said.

Vanderpump further confirmed with E! News that the show wasn’t going anywhere.

However, as time went on, rumors continued to circulate, and Kent recently added fuel to the conversation when she revealed that she appeared on an episode of ” See what’s happening live.

“I burned a lot of bridges,” the 34-year-old reality TV star told Cohen, the host.

Cohen then named several of Kent’s former co-stars and asked if she was in touch with any of them. She joked that Sandoval texts her but she doesn’t respond often, she had to block Taylor and she and Madix “don’t speak.”

“She’s amazing and I’m thrilled,” she said. “And I mean it!”

Kent added that she hasn’t spoken to Madix, 39, or Maloney, 37, since then VPR Season 11 reunion, which aired in May.
