The Packers announced they would bring the famed electric violinist and former “America’s Got Talent” contestant to Lambeau Field on November 10, 2024. Green Bay praised her “genre-crossing virtuosity” in the press release announcing her selection as a halftime performer for the Thanksgiving game.

Who is Lindsey Stirling?

Sterling is a 38-year-old violinist, dancer and songwriter who began posting videos of her choreographed violin performances on YouTube in 2007. Her unique combination of talents earned her a spot on the fifth season of “America’s Got Talent,” where she made a major appearance making it to the quarterfinals before being eliminated from the competition.

Stirling not only plays a unique mix of music that combines genres such as classical, pop and hip-hop, but she also performs choreographed dances to accompany it. She often flies through the air while plucking complex notes on her electric violin, which has delighted crowds and fans online throughout her 17-year career.

Stirling was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for music in 2015 and is best known for her self-titled debut album, released in 2012. It was certified platinum in Germany. Stirling also gained notoriety for a cover of the Imagine Dragons hit “Radioactive,” which she performed with Pentatonix.
