Will Giannis Antetokounmpo play against Heat?

MIAMI – The Milwaukee Bucks bring a four-game winning streak into the Kaseya Center and have a chance to climb to .500 this year with a win over the Miami Heat tonight.

The Bucks are 8-9 overall and have won six of their last seven games. The Heat are 7-7 overall and have won three of four, including two in a row.

There will also be a group game for East Group B in the Emirates Cup on Tuesday evening. The Bucks are 2-0 and the Heat are 1-1.

Is Giannis playing?

After his pregame warmup, the Bucks star was downgraded to questionable for the game due to an effusion in his left knee, or swelling in other words. He was expelled almost immediately afterwards. Antetokounmpo suffered a strained soleus muscle in his left calf on April 9, which not only ended his regular season but also kept him out of the postseason. When asked if there were any concerns about that initial injury, Rivers said: “No, no, I mean, listen to the way he plays and the way he works. There will be things like that, and when they come, just deal with them.”

Khris Middleton did not practice on Monday but completed his first five-on-five session afterwards. It was a good sign for the All-Star’s progress, even if Rivers downplayed it in his pregame media session.

I mean, he’s not ready to play yet, but he works hard, he’s played five-on-five, he’s done some of that,” Rivers said. “The next steps are coming to the floor, but I can’t tell you when that will happen.
