Firstit was Dak Prescott’s iAn injury that will cost him the rest of the season. Now it’s a knee injury that threatens Cooper Rush’s availability for Thanksgiving Day. The Cowboys are 4-7 this season and are poised to miss the playoffs. They have been inferior at home all year, losing all five home games, four of them by at least two points.

Dallas fans haven’t been given much to cheer about this year, so it’s only natural that the injury news doesn’t do them any favors either. With Rush’s status in question, the injury report will once again be a popular topic for Cowboys fans ahead of Thursday’s Turkey Day game.

Cooper Rush injury update

Rush landed on the Cowboys’ injury report with a knee injury before the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game against the Giants. He was listed as a limited participant in practice on Monday and Tuesday. It’s worth noting that the report is an estimate considering it’s a short week.

“He still has some work to do,” head coach Mike McCarthy said. “But I think he’ll be fine.”

The Cowboys’ signal-caller shouldn’t be too worried considering he wasn’t present in Sunday’s win over the Commanders. The estimate is probably more rest and maintenance than anything else, meaning Rush should be on track to launch on Thanksgiving.

To that end, Rush told NFL Network’s Jane Slater on Tuesday that he was “ready to go Thursday.”
